Senior YSR Congress Party leader and Rajya Sabha member, V. Vijaysai Reddy recalled on Twitter that during late Dr. YS Rajasekhara Reddy's tenure, Andhra Pradesh had bountiful rains. Farmers saw an era of prosperity over the five years of his reign. Now Rajanna Rajyam has returned under the leadership of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and reservoirs are overflowing with abundant water. Farmers are overjoyed with the prospects of a good harvest. Here's his tweet:

దివంగత మహానేత వైఎస్ రాజశేఖర్‌ రెడ్డి గారు ముఖ్యమంత్రిగా ఉన్న ఐదున్నరేళ్లు వర్షాలకు కొదవ లేదు. జలాశయాలన్నీ నిండి రెండు పంటలు పండాయి. మెట్ట చేలు కూడా కళకళలాడాయి. ఇప్పుడు మళ్లీ రాజన్న రాజ్యం వచ్చింది. రిజర్వాయర్లన్నీ నిండుతున్నాయి. రైతుల మోముల్లో ఒక భరోసా కనిపిస్తోంది.

In an earlier tweet Vijaysai Reddy also recollected that it was Dr. YSR who secured the required permissions for Polavaram project and initiated it with a view to irrigating 7 lakh acres and providing 960 MW of power. He further said that Chandrababu Naidu treated Polavaram project only as an ATM.
