Kesineni Nani-Buddha Venkanna Twitter War

Vijayawada: Differences between senior leaders of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) in Krishna district once again came to the fore on Sunday with a sarcastic tweet made by the party's Vijayawada MP Kesineni Nani against TDP MLC Buddha Venkanna.

Kesineni Nani on Sunday in a direct reference to Buddha Venkanna tweeted that a person who couldn't garner four votes, has got himself four posts. Not just that, a person who cannot read or write beyond few words is actually tweeting, which is most unfortunate, he tweeted.

Buddha Venkanna who recently joined the social media has been actively tweeting. In a rejoinder to Nani's barb against him he tweeted that what the TDP needed was someone who would fight for the party and the party's leader in the times of crisis. A person who joins forces with the opposition parties was dangerous. The party doesn't need opportunistic people like you, it needs some one who could fight for Chandrababu like a soldier who is ready to lay down his life, he tweeted.

During the recent assembly elections, Vijayawada's western constituency was allocated to Jaleel Khan's daughter without giving it to those who Kesineni had suggested. He is reportedly miffed and believes that former minister Devineni Uma and Buddha Venkannah were behind this. In the past, Kesineni Nani openly criticised party TDP MPs who joined the BJP.

The differences of opinion between two leaders in the same cadre has become an embarrassment to the party high command which is already having to deal the issues of holding the party together in the wake of the upcoming municipal elections. MP Kesineni Nani has been expressing his feelings against the party on his twitter handle for quite some time now and MLC Buddha Venkanna has been showing his resentment towards this attitude. The internal political strife between these two leaders has escalated further with this tweet war.
