Amaravati: The Cabinet Sub-Committee, constituted to review the various policy decisions taken by the past TDP government in the last five years, will submit its report in 45 days. The Committee will look into 30 major issues in wake of large scale allegations of corruption that marked the Chandrababu Naidu's regime.

Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy met the Committee members on Sunday to lay down the guidelines and to delegate tasks among them, besides apprising them of the intent behind the exercise.

Speaking to press persons after the closeted meeting, Agriculture Minister Kurasala Kanna Babu underscored that the Chief Minister had categorically told them the intention of the exercise was to save the loot of State exchequer, but not to settle political scores with anyone.

"In wake of massive corruption allegations against the past TDP government, this is meant to save the public money from being wasted and going into wrong hands. There is no scope for settling political scores," CM YS Jagan said as quoted by Kanna Babu.

Accordingly, the Ministers will primarily look into irrigation projects and more importantly Polavaram project that have become infamous for massive corruption. Alongside, land allotments, incentives given to various industrialists to set up their firms in the CRDA region will be reviewed too. Urban housing project taken up by the TDP government in Vijayawada city will also come under the scanner due to allegations of escalating project costs.

The Ministers will meet once every four or five days to review the progress of their findings. Chief Minister YS Jagan will oversee their work on a fortnightly basis.
