Amaravati: YSR Congress Party Rajya Sabha member and YSRCP National Secretary, V Vijayasai Reddy took to Twitter made scathing remarks at former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh and Telugu Desam Party Chief N Chandrababu Naidu.

Vijayasai Reddy flayed Chandrababu saying that in the name of loan waivers for farmers he managed to win the 2014 elections. Instead, he said that the TDP government had cheated the farmers in the name of loan waivers over the past five years. He hadn't paid a penny to the poor farmers and instead was misleading the farmers giving lame excuses, blaming the central government for not providing funds etc.

Now after losing the elections in 2019 , Chandrababu has the audacity to demand the new government to implement his promise, which he couldn't uphold. The farmers of Andhra Pradesh should confront and question Chandrababu Naidu for failing to keep his promise, he said in his tweet. Loan waiver and an investment support scheme for farmers, was one of the main highlights of the Telugu Desam Party's manifesto during the AP Assembly elections.

It may be recalled that the TDP had requested the new YS Jagan government to pay the upcoming tranche of the loan payment soon after the elections results dislodged the TDP government. To this the YSRCP hit out saying that it is unfair on the part of the outgoing govt to dictate terms to the new govt since it was a promise made initially by Chandrababu Naidu.
