Roja Gets Her Due; Nominated As APIIC Chairperson       

Amaravati: Ringing down curtains on intense speculation whether or not Nagari MLA RK Roja would be offered any post, Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Wednesday nominated her as the chairperson of the Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (APIIC).

Although many expected that Roja’s induction into State Cabinet was foregone conclusion, YS Jagan sprang a surprise by dropping many senior leaders including her. Rumour mills predicted that she could be even made as a home minister. As with his many decisions, YS Jagan’s cabinet composition also left many surprised.

Despite denying that she was not sulking, her conspicuous absence at ministers’ swearing-in when the entire galaxy of YSRCP leaders were in attendance and her frequent meetings with YS Jagan in last two days confirmed that she had expressed her displeasure with the Chief Minister.

After the decision to appoint her as the chairperson of APIIC became public on Wednesday, Roja thanked the Chief Minister for reposing faith in her and entrusting her with the responsibility.
