Vijayasai Mocks Chandrababu’s Attempts To Unite Opposition
Amaravati: YSR Congress Party national general secretary and Rajya Sabha member V Vijayasai Reddy made some scathing remarks over Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu's desperate attempts to unite the opposition parties, with just two days to go for the counting of votes for the 2019 Lok Sabha polls.
Taking to the micro blogging site Twitter, Vijayasai Reddy compared Chandrababu's efforts to unite the opposition with Congress in the last four days to an incense stick burning. Akin to how the Ambica brand Incense stick burns (as it burns it keeps dripping ash bit by bit) , in the same way Chandrababu was faltering as he was taking one step forward and one step backward with his attempt to unite the opposition.
He said that the 'Fevicol' glue used by him was a fake one which is why the there was not any strong bond between him and the leaders of the opposition.

This was in reaction to the regional leaders across the country giving cold shoulder to Chandrababu. Besides DMK’s Stalin and JD (S)'s Kumaraswamy, Mayawati also opted out of the meeting. Mamata Banarjee also opted out of the meeting in the last minute.

In another rather acidic barb on the biased articles published about the ''three-point formula'' by Chandrababu Naidu where he requested the Congress leader Sonia Gandhi to write a letter to the President indicating that they would form the government in case the NDA fails to get majority.
"We don't know about the three-point formula 'thrisuthra', but Chandrababu definitely needs a 'Kshara Suthra' rather urgently," he tweeted.

The 'Kshara Suthra' is an Ayurvedic treatment used to cleanse the rectal tract in the body. It remains to be seen if Chandrababu's efforts to forge Opposition unity will see the light of the day after Tuesday's meeting.
