Hyderabad: YSR Congress Party senior leader Gadikota Srikanth Reddy predicted that by the time Local Body elections are announced the Chandrababu-led Telugu Desam Party (TDP) would be wiped out in the State.

Speaking to press persons here on Friday, Srikanth Reddy said that it was such existential fear that was prompting Chandrababu Naidu  level allegations like EVMs were not working. He said that the internal squabbles had begun in the TDP, and a particular group in the party was making plans to bid goodbye to the party. Srikanth Reddy said that the TDP members were slowly losing trust in Chandrababu Naidu. He also said that Chandrababu was not qualified to be in politics any more.

"Why didn't he say that he didn't want the EVMs before the elections and now he chooses to complain to the Election Commission that they are not working which are totally absurd,” questioned the YSRCP leader.

With these kind of actions he had brought down the respectability of the government offices, he said. Srikanth Reddy also said that Chandrababu Naidu was known for his backstabbing nature and had misused his power to commit atrocities for his personal benefits.

Srikanth Reddy said that the recent comments made by Chandrababu about the Satta Bazaar and Satta Markets were tantamount to encouraging gambling. He criticised that how can a person holding the status of a Chief Minister make such crass comments.

Penal action should be taken against Chandarababu Naidu for his remarks on encouraging betting despite being the chief minister who is has 40 years of public life behind him, he said.

The man with such a long public life speaking about betting should be booked under relevant sections, he said. He has been overreacting on the Election Commission decisions forgetting the decorum of the Chair he is on.
