Amaravati: Senior YSR Congress Party leader and Dhone MLA candidate, Buggana Rajendranath Reddy said that fear of defeat is driving Chandrababu to make all sorts of absurd statements. He remarked that Chandrababu Naidu's words and actions lacked consistency.

Buggana Rajendranath addressed the media at the party office here where he made these observations. Chandrababu claimed on the one hand that the TDP would win 150 seats and on the other, he made ridiculous allegations of EVM tampering and malfunctioning, exposing the hollowness of his stance, he said. The senior YSRCP leader observed that it is high time Chandrababu Naidu gave up enacting dramas and took steps to pay the employees their salaries.

Buggana Rajendranath remarked that Chandrababu has become increasingly frustrated as can be seen from his criticism of the chief secretary and the chief electoral officer. Further, Chandrababu's violation of election code through reviews of government departments was unprecedented, he said.

The senior YSRCP leader also remarked that the TDP supremo brazenly defied election code through such actions when in reality, a chief minister could conduct reviews only in case of emergencies or natural disasters. He pointed out that Chandrababu was conducting reviews of Polavaram and CRDA, while home guards and outsourcing employees had not been paid their salaries for three months. Similarly, TA and DA had not been paid to government employees, he observed. Buggana Rajendranath further said that Chandrababu had diverted government funds to schemes with the aim of appeasing and influencing voters.

Chandrababu was depending on graphics when it comes to the construction of Amaravati till a year before polls, he said. Then the TDP chief started saying that for the development of the new capital he had to be re-elected. Even now, all one saw in the capital area was weeds and wild bushes, he said.

Buggana Rajendranath pointed a finger at Chandrababu for compromising with the personal information of millions of voters in the name of TDP's Seva Mitra app. The TDP chief is making childish statements of EVM tampering, he said, while claiming in a contrary voice that his party would get re-elected with a bumper 150 seats. Buggana Rajendranath said that Chandrababu Naidu's Technical Advisor, Vemuri Hariprasad and actor Sivaji of Operation Garuda fame, should be taken into custody and questioned.
