Tadipatri (Anantapur): A Circle Inspector from Tadipathri Narayana Reddy , who is said to be a closely associated with Telugu Desam Party (TDP) MLA JC Prabahakar Reddy was transferred from Tadipatri on the orders of the Election Commission. YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) leaders had earlier filed a complaint with the Election Commission about his behaviour during the elections time and after conducting an enquiry issued orders for his transfer.

The errant CI rounded up YSRCP aides Khader, Hussain and Raghu and forcibly took them to the police station.Using third degree methods he attacked them with the lathis. The CI also threatened them and asked them as to why they were working for the YSRCP against JC Prabahakar Reddy's interests.

The severely injured YSRCP workers were taken to the hospital for treatment. Reacting to the incident, YSRCP Tadipatri MLA Candidate Kethireddy Peddareddy expressed his anger at the high- handed behaviour of the CI and questioned as to what was a transferred CI doing in Tadipatri. He also said that the higher officials were not bothered about the CI’s behaviour as he was a working with the support of the local MLA JC Prabhakar Reddy. He also questioned as to who gave him the authority to use third degree methods on the hapless YSRCP workers for no fault of theirs.

Peddareddy requested the Election Commission to intervene and take action against the CI for attacking the YSRCP workers and have him suspended from service.He also demanded that criminal action be taken against CI Narayana Reddy.
