Chandrababu Mulls Protest Drama Against EC To Get Voter Attention

Reports have been leaked by certain media outlets stating that Andhra Pradesh chief minister Chandrababu Naidu could be arrested which would not augur well for the state, TDP leaders are reported to have said. The move being planned by Chandrababu Naidu apparently is to give a representation to the Election Comission stating that it had been arbitrarily transferring officials in AP. The leaked reports also suggested that the TDP supremo would then sit on a protest near the Ambedkar Statue and that he would then he arrested. If this were to happen, it would be fraught with terrible consequences, the ruling party leaders are reported to have said.

If events play out along these lines, this would point to a fresh drama being enacted by a desperate Chandrababu Naidu. This seems to be a last-ditch effort by the TDP supremo to gain sympathy of the voters in the state. It could also create law and order disturbances in some parts of the state, observers fear.
