Hyderabad: YSR Congress Party spokesperson, Vasireddy Padma criticised TDP supremo Chandrababu Naidu for indulging in a slander campaign against members of the YSR family because he was unable to face YSRCP chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy politically.

Addressing the media at the party headquarters here on Thursday, Vasireddy Padma said that it was clear that the TDP had a hand in the vicious campaign against sister of YS Jagan, YS Sharmila, which was aimed at tarnishing her image.

The YSRCP spokesperson pointed out to media persons that the police had arrested a follower of a Guntur minister in this regard.

This became even more clear with the address of the firm and Youtube channel in question, TFC media being traced to a building owned by Nara Lokesh's father-in-law and Chandrababu's brother-in-law, Nandamuri Balakrishna.

TDP was indulging in conducting fake surveys and running a malicious propaganda campaign against YS Sharmila, she pointed out. Vasireddy Padma posed a query directly to Balakrishna--"don't you have daughters?"

Vasireddy Padma lambasted Chandrababu Naidu for sheltering TFC Media directors, as also the prime accused in the data theft case, Ashok Dakavaram.

She lashed out at criminals who defamed and spewed venom on YS Jagan's sister and Dr. YSR's daughter when she was merely campaigning for her brother's party. The YSRCP spokesperson described TDP as a party which was anti-women and remarked that no party had ever stooped so low.

The YSRCP spokesperson slammed Andhra Jyothi for publishing a fake survey and questioned Chandrababu on the role of the Intelligence department in the issue. She flayed the TDP leadership for attributing all their failures to YS Jagan.

Chandrababu, who cannot provide security to women, does not deserve to be called 'Anna', she said. A TDP MLA assaulted a lady officer and this was one of the several examples which highlighted the TDP's indifference towards women in the state.

The TDP had no respect for women as was seen from the way inwhich the call money racket was watered down, loans of DWCRA women and bank loans were not waived as promised.

Now, the ruling party came up with Pasupu-Kumkuma to deceive the womenfolk in the state, she said. This was only a publicity stunt, Vasireddy Padma further added.
