Allagadda: TDP minister Bhuma Akhila Priya received an unexpected jolt today, when former MP Gangula Prathap Reddy announced his support to the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) Allagadda Assembly candidate Gangula Brijendranath Reddy.

Bhuma Akhila Priya thought that since Gangula Prathap Reddy joined the TDP during the Nandyal Bye Elections, the votes would split in her favour.

On Tuesday, Gangula Prathap had an informal session with his family members Gangula Manohar Reddy, Sudershan Reddy Bharath Reddy, Phanikrishna Reddy , former Central Cotton Board Former Director CP Srinivasa Reddy.

After discussing assessing the political situation and based in their suggestions they took the decision of supporting the YSRCP candidate Gangula Brijendranath Reddy.

A local strongman in the Kurnool region, Gangula Prathap Reddy sought the support of the Gangula family supporters to help Brijendranath Reddy win the elections with a huge majority.

Speaking to the media, Gangula Prathap Reddy said that he had joined the party because Chadnrababu Naidu sought his support and he worked for the party.

He also said that Chandrababu had cheated him by promising him the MP seat, but at the end without even consulting him, Chandrababu announced another candidate's name.

It was Chandrababu habit to gain people's trust and then in the end cheat them and he too fell for his words, Gangula admitted. Chandrababu paid more attention to people who had money and based on the candidate's purse strings he had selected the candidate, he criticised.
