Chittoor Parliamentary Constituency is located in the district in Andhra Pradesh which bears the same name. This constituency is reserved for candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste. Chandragiri, Nagari, Gangadhara Nellore, Chittoor, Puthalapattu, Palamaner and Kuppam assembly constituencies come under Chittoor Parliamentary Constituency.

As per the estimates of 2011 census, out of total 20,31,588 population 77.64% is rural and 22.36% is urban population.

According to the voter list of 2018, there are 14,17,026 voters and 1748 polling stations in this constituency. Voter turnout in the 2014 Parliamentary election was 82.59% . The INC, the TDP and the YSRCP got 1.38%, 49.62% and 45.94% votes respectively in 2014-parliamentary election

Naramalli Sivaprasad (TDP) is the present Lok Sabha MP of Chittoor (SC) Parliamentary Constituency. Sivaprasad polled 5,94,862 votes and defeated G Samanyakiran of the YSR Congress Party who got 5,50,724 votes in a close finish . A former actor, Naramalli Sivaprasad has been strongly criticised for trivializing the issue of Special Category Status in the Lok Sabha by dressing up and showing up at the parliament in different avatars in the name of protest.

The seat was once a Congress stronghold. The grand old party, in its hey days, had won this constituency eleven times.

N Redeppa has been selected as the YSRCP candidate who will be pitted againt N Siva Prasad, who was renominated again as the TDP candidate. The TDP parliamentarian is widely seen as a jester.

The Jana Sena Party as part of its seat sharing pact has given Chittoor to the BSP. CH Punyamurthy is the BSP candidate. N Reddeppa a new entrant to politics is a reputed senior lawyer in Chittoor and also served as the LIDCAP chairman in the district. Sivaprasad’ s popularity is on the downslide as many people complain that he is hardly seen in the constituency and many works were left pendng during his second tenure. He is facing massive anti-incumbency in Chandrababu's home district and finds the going tough.
