Kurnool Under Tight Security Blanket For PM Modi Election Rally

Kurnool: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is all set to visit Kurnool today (Friday). This is to kick off the election campaign for the BJP in the Telugu states. Security measures have been tightened in the city. There will be an extensive security blanket in the region owing to PM Modi’s rally.

Many security personnel along with personnel from the elite forces like the black commandos are already in the city and have taken over every junction and every square of the city.

Public places and hotels especially have been screened thoroughly. Localities were taken aback looking at the number of security arrangements made for the PM’s visit.

Fakkeer-appa, Kurnool district Superintendent of Police had said that the PM will address a public meeting at STBC College grounds on Friday in Kurnool. "In view of the visit, strict security arrangements have been made to avert any untoward incidents," he said

The SP on Thursday had given instructions to the police personnel who had come in from many other cities to carry out their duties to prevent any untoward incidents.

He asked the police to be vigilant and keep a special eye at the Helipad, the route stops and mostly at the public meeting. LED Screens were suggested apart from dog squad checks and bomb squad checks at the VIP Sites.
