Why Is Chandrababu Targetting KCR?

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and TDP chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu is known to create monsters and then attempt to slay them in public perception.

True to form, he has now made Telangana Chief Minister, K Chandrashekar Rao his arch enemy in this matter and is striving to present him as such to the people of Andhra Pradesh. One only has to follow Chandrababu Naidu‘s line of argument to comprehend this.

The TDP supremo has been constantly talking about a collusion between YSR Congress Party(YSRCP)President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and KCR.

Is there a method to Chandrababu’s madness? The TDP chief is desperately trying to create an impression in the minds of AP voters that it is KCR who has blocked the development of the state over the past five years and will now continue to do so.

With the help of his propaganda network in television and print media,Chandrababu is trying to reinforce this line saying that YS Jagan is working actively with KCR.

The fact of the matter is that KCR is a demon in Chandrababu‘s own head which he needs to exorcise, analysts say.

They point out that the TDP supremo seems to be gripped by a fear that he may end up in prison on account of his reported involvement in note-for-vote case of 2015 and the more recent data-theft case centering around IT Grids India Pvt. Limited.

Chandrababu, during the course of his election speeches, has been raking up issues related to the Telangana agitation recalling that KCR had criticised people from the Andhra region in the strongest of terms.

KCR ridiculed Andhra cuisine including Ulavacharu, he told the audience at an election rally the other day. That is how petty Chandrababu can get.

The TDP chief, during the course of his electioneering has been saying that Telangana was Rs. 1 lakh crore and that the KCR government was not releasing water from Nagarjuna Sagar.

The Telangana government has refuted his allegations, but Chandrababu Naidu continues to put his theory of conspiracy out, over and over again.

The TDP chief keeps dragging YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and Narendra Modi into this imaginary conspiracy against AP. The common people of the state however, are not likely to be fooled by such election talk.

The simple question which Chandrababu Naidu cannot answer is, why would YS Jagan wish to stall the development of Andhra Pradesh? So far, Chandrababu Naidu’s sustained negative propaganda has had no impact in the Telugu states.

If one were to ask the TDP chief a few questions, he would have no answers. Why did the Andhra Pradesh chief minister invite KCR to the foundation stone laying ceremony of the new capital at Amaravati, if he knew the Telangana chief minister was bitterly opposed to AP’s development? Why did the AP government roll out a red carpet when KCR paid a visit to the celebrated Kanakadurgamma shrine in Vijayawada? Why did the TDP government‘s highest functionaries bow and scrape before KCR when he went to attend a wedding in the Paritala family? Didn’t Chandrababu seek a tie-up with the TRS and try to broach the topic with KCR at the time of Nandamuri Harikrishna’s death?

The TDP chief knows that he has no answers to these questions and that he is creating a political controversy to milk it for the elections, but he has failed so far.

All his attempts have fallen flat. It appears that the people of Andhra Pradesh are determined to teach Chandrababu Naidu a lesson that could well put an end to his political career.
