Amaravati:Relations between Jana Sena and CPI parties hit a low as Jana Sena announced candidate from the constituency which was allocated to CPI. It is learnt that CPI is thinking of quitting the alliance.

CPI National secretary Suravaram Sudhakar Reddy cleared the air by telling the media that Jana Sena and CPI are at loggerheads in dividing constituencies to contest among them. Jana Sena Chief Pawan Kalyan has first offered the Vijayawada Lok Sabha constituency to contest while CPI declared Chalasani Ajay Kumar as its candidate. The CPI candidate is all set to file a nomination on Monday.

However, Jana Sena is now eyeing the Vijayawada MP position to contest and offering Gannavaram MLA to CPI. Meanwhile, the CPI cadre held a meeting, which proved inconclusive. The CPM is acting as a mediator between both the parties, media reports say. Suravaram Sudhakar Reddy observed that whoever is making provocative and divisive statements should be condemned.

According to the alliance pact the left parties were allocated seven assembly and two MP seats each to contest in the election. Already, Nuzvid offered to CPI had been taken back by Jana Sena while Pawan Kalyan had assured the Vijayawada Lok Sabha seat to the CPI. But all of a sudden Jana Sena announced its candidate for the Vijayawada LS constituency. This has irked the CPI party cadre and some sections are demanding an end the alliance with Jana Sena.
