A TDP rebel candidate Vijayajyothi who feels humiliated at having been denied the party ticket has jumped into the electoral fray on Friday and has submitted her nomination.
With Vijayajyothi's entry, Dr Rajashekar is learned to have felt even more insecure and uncertain about his own victory.
He is believed to have consulted his family members and discussed the issue of withdrawing from the electoral contest.
It is learnt that Dr Rajasekhar has been demanding the refund of Rs 3 crores he had given to the TDP leadership for his Budvel ticket.
All this took place just as TDP supremo and Andhra Pradesh chief minister Chandrababu Naidu is about to campaign in Budvel on Sunday.
