Failing to secure a re-nomination from the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), Kurnool sitting MLA SV Mohan Reddy alleged that Democracy was being mocked at, Thanks to the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister. He said that Telugu Desam Party Chief N Chandrababu Naidu had made a mockery of the democracy when he allotted the party ticket to the highest bidder.

He also said that IT Minister Nara Lokes had declared him as the candidate, in a public meeting at Kurnool. Mohan felt deceived by the party. “All my good work has gone down the drain,” he added.

He also recalled how his family had been deceived by N Chandrababu Naidu 3 times so far, and said that he had learned lessons the hard way.

SV Mohan Reddy convened a meeting of his supporters on Thursday to seek an opinion about his future in politics. His supporters are believed to have unanimously asked him to let go of his post from the TDP and join the YSR Congress Party, which seems to be the winning horse that everybody is betting on right now following YS Jagan’s padayatra wave.
