Returning To YSRCP Feels Like Homecoming: Butta Renuka
Hyderabad: Lok Sabha member Butta Renuka, who won on a YSR Congress Party ticket in 2014 and crossed over to the TDP, returned to the YSRCP fold. Addressing the media after returning to YSRCP in the presence of party president, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, on Saturday, she described her act as 'homecoming'.
Butta Renuka said that one got deceived by what one saw from a distance and this is what happened in her case with respect to the TDP. It was a mistake on her part, she admitted, triggered by a minor misunderstanding. She added that she paid the price for the lapse. The Lok Sabha member further said that she understood clearly as to where she enjoyed respect and standing, as opposed to where she was not honoured. The YSRCP had always accorded due respect to her, as a BC candidate and a woman, Butta Renuka concluded.
Butta Renuka described the TDP as a party without values. The ruling party lacked the transparency and integrity which was there in YSRCP, she said. The Lok Sabha member said that though she was a newcomer to politics, she gained a lot of experience through her exposure to both the YSRCP and TDP, she said. Butta Renuka remarked that she was not aspiring for any position and that she would strive for the success of the YSRCP in the upcoming elections.
