Alla Rama Krishna Reddy Seeks Removal Of AP DGP RP Thakur
Amaravati: YSR Congress Party leader MLA Alla Rama Krishna Reddy pleads with the Chief Electoral Officer Gopala Krishna Dwivedi for the removal of RP Thakur from the role of DGP of Andhra Pradesh.
He complained to the CEO that DGP Thakur acts undemocratic and the people of AP cannot utilize their right to vote if he continues to be DGP. The YSRCP leader pointed out that he was appointed as DGP when a PIL filed by him was pending with the Court. He reported in the complaint that Thakur has ridiculed the murder attack on the leader of the Opposition Andhra Pradesh Assembly and YSR Congress President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy as an act done to gain sympathy in people.
Rama Krishna Reddy has observed that DGP Thakur had breached the rules prescribed for the officers of All India Services by encroaching the parkland while constructing his residence. It is learned that the house being constructed in Plot no. 149, Prashasan Nagar, Road NO 72, Jubilee Hills has been pulled down by the GHMC circle -18 town planning officials as it was built on the parkland.
