Kakinada:With the elections barely a month away, there is heavy exodus into the YSR Congress Party(YSRCP) from Telugu Desam Party(TDP). Telugu Desam Party received a major blow in the Kakinada constituency as Kakinada MP Thota Narasimham along with his wife Thota Vani left TDP and are all set to join YSRCP. It is reported that the couple is likely to join the party on Wednesday. Another leader and former MLA from Palakollu, Babji, joined YSRCP on Tuesday.

Talking to the media Thota Vani said that injustice has been done to them by TDP. Her husband was denied a prominent position in the party. She observed that her husband was facing health issues, and the party denied her an MLA ticket.

It is reported the ticket from the same Jaggampeta constituency is confirmed to Jawahar, who defected to TDP after winning on a YSRCP ticket. Thota Vani added that the Leader of the Opposition Andhra Pradesh Assembly and YSRCP President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy welcomed them into the party and promised them of due importance.

She remembered, "TDP supremo Chandrababu Naidu had called her husband, but due to his ill-health he could not make that visit. I have informed about this issue to two ministers from the district, who stopped visiting us since then. I felt they lack basic humanity. My husband is not a normal man, he has been the politics for the past 15 years and was denied a prominent place in the party."

Former MLA from Palakollu Dr CH Satyanarayana Murthy(Babji) joined the YSRCP on Tuesday. He met YS Jagan at the Lotus Pond party office.
