Telangana Police Seal IT Grids

The Telangana Police sealed the premises of IT Grids India Pvt Ltd, the company which is in the eye of a major political storm in Andhra Pradesh.

The firm had developed TDP's Sevamitra app and accessed data related to citizenz of both the Telugu states. While the activities of the firm are already under the scrutiny of the SIT constituted by the Telangana government, around 10am on Friday, a joint team comprising officials from police and revenue departments sealed the Madhapur office of IT Grids India.

The premises has also been manned by Telangana police personnel to deny access to unauthorised persons. It is learned that the sudden move by the TS police was to pre-empt any planned search operation by the AP police.

It must be mentioned that the SIT has already sent a lookout notice for Ashok Dakavaram, the CEO of the company who is believed to be hiding in AP.

Meanwhile, Ashok rushed to the court seeking quashing of the proceedings against him. Interestingly, Ashok also wants the case to be transferred to AP.

The hearing on the subject is to take place on Monday. According to police sources, Ashok would provide critical information with respect to the case and the larger conspiracy behind the data theft.

A notice has already been posted on Ashok's residential address in the city and it is learnt that he is being protected by top politicians of the ruling party in AP.
