TDP MP Murali Mohan’s Connection To The Data Theft Case

Amaravati: The Data Theft Case has left many IT Companies in Andhra Pradesh associated with the TDP on tenterhooks. Rumours are rife that Telugu Desam Party MP from Rajamahendravaram M Murali Mohan's daughter in law M Roopa owns an IT company which is located in Kunchanapally of Tadepalle mandal near the Capital region.

A social entrepreneur, Roopa is said to be running the company with around 400 employees and is into collecting data through field level surveys and conducting analysis as part of its services to the party.

The data received through the Real-Time Governance Society (RTGS) was reportedly given to the company. Based on this data the company was conducting surveys again and submitting reports to IT Minister Lokesh's offices

RTGS was established by the TDP govt as a platform for the people for bringing their grievances to the notice of the government. But this also used a source for the ruling TDP to get feedback on the performance of its MLAs, MPs in all the districts of AP.

A senior IT professional told media sources on Friday that he had all along suspected this platform to be a front for data theft leading to deletion of voters names considered by the TDP to be sympathisers of the YSRCP.

Recently one of the employees of the company who was conducting an opinion survey had called a TDP activist in Pedadornala village of Prakasam district. In the course of the phone call, the TDP activist told the employee that an Anganwadi post was given to a YSRCP sympathiser.

The employee informed the TDP activist that his grievance would be conveyed to the IT Minster Nara Lokesh's office.

Another interesting fact that had come up was that the land on which the company was built (53 acres ) was bought at a throwaway price of Rs 16 crore and is now valued to be more that Rs 250 crore.
