The uncertainty continues about the political future of former MLA and Vangaveeti Ranga’s son Vangaveeti Radha Krishna. After quitting the YSR Congress Party he announced that he would shift loyalties to the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), but till date there has been no official news about him joining the party so far. A Vijayawada Central constituency Assembly aspirant, Radha is apparently being pursued by the TDP to convince him for contesting from the Godavari districts.
Vangaveeti Radha Krishna met former MP Lagadapati Rajagopal on Tuesday and this meeting has raised eyebrows about his future political prospects.
According to sources, Rajagopal's political surveys say that Vangaveeti Radha contesting from Godavari district would help the party prospects in the coastal areas. It is said that Rajagopal had also informed Radha about the same a few days ago, which subsequently led to the meeting on Tuesday.
Apparently, the TDP feels that Radha’s entry would definitely influence the voters, especially the Kapu vote bank. Speculations are that the party also wants to allot an appropriate constituency for his candidature in the upcoming assembly elections in Andhra Pradesh.
