Vijayawada: Senior YSR Congress Party leader Kolusu Parthasarathy mounted scathing criticism of Andhra Pradesh chief minister, Chandrababu Naidu for manipulation of electoral rolls by passing on sensitive personal information of AP citizens to a private firm. This data breach was a serious violation of the Constitution and demanded that the Election Commission register a sedition case against Chandrababu Naidu, he said. Parthasarathy addressed media persons here.

The official spokesman of the party expressed anguish at the fact that the Election Commission has not acted in the matter though the YSRCP had already lodged a complaint substantiating it with evidence. Parthasarathy demanded that the Election Commission probe the complaint submitted by YSRCP with respect to the deletion of names of nearly 60 lakh voters.

Chandrababu gets jittery each time there are Income Tax raids in AP or Telangana, he said. Similarly, Chandrababu got panicky when the case related to the murder attempt on Leader of Opposition in Andhra Pradesh legislative assembly, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy at Visakhapatnam airport on October 25, was handed over to the National Investigation Agency (NIA).

Now, when Telangana police filed a case against a small Hyderabad-based firm known as IT Grids India Pvt. Ltd., based on a complaint of data theft by a whistle-blower in Hyderabad, T. Lokeswara Reddy, Chandrababu Naidu is gripped by fear. Why should Chandrababu and Nara Lokesh panic when a case is registered against a small private entity for being in possession of sensitive personal information of 4 crore AP citizens?, he questioned.

Parthasarathy flayed irrigation minister Devineni Uma, who was neck-deep in rampant corruption and indiscriminate sand mining, for spreading rumours that the capital city would be shifted from Amaravati once YS Jagan comes to power. Devineni Uma appeared to be blind to the fact that the YSRCP chief had constructed a house in Amaravati with the sole objective of being accessible to the people and to serve the masses. The AP irrigation minister and chief minister were both aware of the fact that Chandrababu Naidu and the TDP were set to be wiped out in the upcoming elections. This is the reason why he deliberately ignored Chandrababu's expenditure of Rs. 200 crores on his house in Hyderabad knowing that he was facing defeat.
