Kathi Mahesh On Chintamaneni’s Remarks Against Dalits

Dendaluru TDP MLA Chintamaneni Prabhakar who had made controversial statements against the Dalits in a Janmabhoomi Meeting last month has been at the receiving end of the SC/ST communities. People from all walks of life are angered over the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Nara Chandrababu Naidu's silence. The TDP supremo has so far neither reacted nor attempted to remove the leader from his post as chief whip of the party. Activists and SC leaders all over the state are conducting protests and dharnas over the objectionable comments and want him to be stripped of all power.

Controversial film and political critic Mahesh Kathi took to twitter to express his opinion on Chintamaneni.

Loosely translated he said that Chintamaneni's veins were filled with the feudalistic and casteist arrogance and that he would not get the party ticket. And with this his political career has come to an end, he predicted.

A Dalit himself, Kathi Mahesh as he is popularly known as , often comments on various topics and had stirred a controversy last year when he made a reference to Rama calling him a cheat.

He hurt Hindu religious sentiments by making derogatory comments on Lord Rama. However, he said that he had only interpreted the Ramayana in his own way and stated that Sita might have been better off with Ravana rather than Rama, he had remarked sparking off a public outcry.
