New Delhi: Andhra Pradesh chief minister N. Chandrababu Naidu is learnt to have expressed his displeasure at a section of TDP workers mainly from Anantapur and Srikakulam for leaving the Dharna site and going on a sight-seeing trip of Delhi. Media reports put the figure of Chandrababu's Deeksha in Delhi at Rs.10 crore, of which Rs.1.2 crore was spent on TDP workers from these two districts, including special trains for the purpose.
Finding a number of chairs at the protest venue empty, Chandrababu vented his anger. The AP chief minister took the mic and directed all workers to remain seated. Perhaps, the endless drone of speeches, most of which may have appeared monotonous in nature, prompted the party workers in question, to leave the venue.
The thought of a Delhi tour may have seemed far more appealing. Moreover, they reached the national capital without having to spend a penny from their pockets, thanks to the tax-payers of AP.
