Guntur: Prime Minister Narendra Modi ridiculed Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu for wearing a black shirt and claiming he is protesting against BJP. PM Modi said Chandrababu is wearing a black shirt to ward off the evil eye. Meanwhile the AP TDP leaders were seen protesting against Modi by sporting black shirts, black flags, black balloons and sloganeering ‘go back Modi’.

Referring to the TDP leaders' protest in the BJP Praja Chaitanya public meeting, Narendra Modi said they have let loose the black balloons into the air to ward off the evil eye, and cried ‘go back Modi’. PM Modi called these omens of good luck.

The Prime Minister pointed out that ‘Modi go back’ meant, go back to Delhi and assume office again. Modi observed that TDP leaders are predicting that BJP will win in the upcoming elections and thanked the TDP leaders for their slogans. Narendra Modi added that as a chief Minister I too faced many troubles and that is why I stood by the people of AP, since 2014.

Later PM Modi took potshots at the Chandrababu saying that he had kept silent in recent times while the AP chief minister had been criticizing him. However, people will not believe Chandrababu. PM Modi predicted that the people of AP are going to teach a lesson to the corrupt government of father-son duo in the state.
