TDP MLA Donning Black, Sitting In Speaker’s Chair Raises Eyebrows

Amaravati: The Speaker’s position in Andhra Pradesh Assembly was undermined by the TDP MLA, who conducted the proceedings briefly. On Friday, a discussion was held in the Assembly over the assurances given and left unfulfilled during the time of bifurcation of erstwhile Andhra Pradesh.

During this session, speaker Kodela Siva Prasada Rao had to leave the chair for a short while. Meanwhile, TDP MLA from Satyavedu, Talari Aditya conducted the proceedings of the House. The issue which led to an uproar is that he was sporting a black shirt and black trousers protesting against the Union government's stand on Special Category Status to Andhra Pradesh. The objections raised were as to how a member completely dressed in black could sit in the Speaker's chair.
