SC Adjourns Hearing In Vote For Note Case

New Delhi: Supreme Court has taken up the sensational Vote for Note case on Tuesday. This case caused ripples in both the Telugu states back in the day. One of the accused in the case Udaya Simha, has filed a implead petition with the Court. Justice Lavu Nageswar Rao’s bench, which is dealing with the case, has adjourned the next hearing.

Siddarth Lutra the lawyer of defendant pleaded with the court that his client cannot present himself before the court for a couple of weeks, due to personal reasons. SC has accepted the petition and adjourned the next hearing till four weeks.

Talking about the implead petition filed by Udaya Simha, senior government lawyer from Telangana Haren Dhawal said that the accused is seeking time to delay justice.  ACB has also filed a petition with the SC over the removal of Mathaiah, another accused name, from the list.

While being a TDP MLA, Revanth Reddy, was caught red-handed, handing over the money to nominated MLA Stephenson, to vote for TDP in the MLC elections. This incident took place on 30 May 2015. TDP chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu is also facing allegations in the case. Chandigarh forensic science lab has even confirmed that it was Chandrabau’s voice in the phone conversation with Stephenson.
