Tirupati/ Chandragiri: After a row erupted over flexis, a local TDP leader's aides manhandled a YSRCP follower. This incident took place in Manglapattu village of Chittoor, the native district of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu.

TDP leader Pulivarthi Nani's aides attacked Damodara Naidu when the latter erected flexis expressing his solidarity with the YSRCP party and wishing the people on Sankranti. Hemambar Naidu the local TDP leader hurled abuses at Damodara Naidu, a day before this assault took place on him. Later Hemamber, his brother-in-law and others went to the victim’s residence to warn him to pull down the flexis.

Damadora Naidu was attacked by 15 goons with sticks while he was on his way to his farmland. Travelers taking the same road came to the rescue of Damodara Naidu. The victim was later shifted to Chandragiri government Hospital.

The victim's family claimed that local TDP leaders got him assaulted by hired goons. MLA of Chandragiri Dr. Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy met the victim in the hospital and expressed his solidarity. Doctors at the hospital confirmed that Damodara Naidu has two broken bones and later shifted him to Ruia hospital in Tirupati for further treatment.
