Srikakulam: Andhra Pradesh chief minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu is unable to tolerate the soaring popularity of YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy who has been receiving a groundswell of support from the masses, said senior YSRCP leader, Bhumana Karunakar Reddy. After failing to create hurdles to the mass contact initiative, Praja Sankalpa Yatra, and after the murder attempt at Vizag airport proved to be unsuccessful, Chandrababu Naidu is now conspiring to create untoward incidents at Tirupati when the mass leader walks his way to pay obeisance to Lord Venkateswara. The TDP supremo plans to project it with a negative shade through his friendly media, the YSR Congress party alerted the people of the state.

Speaking to the media, party senior leader Bhumana Karunakar Reddy said, "Chandrababu Naidu can stoop to any level and this time around, he is conspiring to create untoward incidents at Tirupati where YS Jagan Mohan Reddy will walk his way up to the shrine to pay reverence to the Lord after his successful Praja Sankalpa Yatra which will be concluded by January 9.

Soon after reaching Ichchapuram, the north-eastern tip of the State, heralding the conclusion of the Yatra, the Leader of Opposition will address a public meeting and plans to reach Tirupati later on. He will walk up the hillock to pay respects to the Lord and fulfil his vow.

‘This is the time when Chandrababu Naidu wants to hit below the belt through miscreants shouting slogans in favour of the mass leader and his friendly media taking over from there to tom-tom that Jagan has no respect for God and the sanctity of the place has been degrading with the sloganeering and the like.

For generations, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy's family members had visited Tirumala and Dr YSR as Chief Minister had participated in Brahmotsavams and other rituals and he visited the temple even while he was in the Opposition, he recalled.
