Visakhapatnam:  Former MP Undavalli Arun Kumar wondered whether Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu was aware that there would not be any rainfall in the month of May. Addressing the Meet The Press program here on Friday, he raised the question in reply to Chandrababu's promise of supplying irrigation water through Polavaram project from May.

Undavalli said the government's promise on bringing Rs 1.45 crore was an utter lie. It is a disgrace to the people of the State that all the buildings that are being built are temporary structures, he added saying none of the ruling party leaders are coming forward to discuss the questions over Chandrababu's white paper.

He further said Chandrababu released the white paper only to mislead the people. Calling for a debate on the white paper with IAS officers, he said discussions on Polavaram, irrigation, LED bulbs and Anna Canteens must be conducted.

"In the white paper, mobile phones worth Rs 7,000 were quoted for Rs 12,000. Why is it that Chandrababu is not concerned about the corruption in all departments? The government is not in a state to reply to objections," he added.
