Rajahmundry: Mudragada Padmanabham popular Kapu community leader is all set to conduct a meeting with the members of the community to draw a plan of action to make the TDP government fulfill its poll promise of including their community in the BC's list on December 23 at Kathipudi in East Godavari.

Talking to media at Kirlampudi village on Wednesday, the Kapu leader said that leaders of the community from all the 13 districts in the state would meet to discuss on the socio-economic and political issues of the community. In the wake of upcoming polls, the Kapu leader said they would discuss the future course of action to make the assurance given into a reality.

He reminded that the state government that there was alerady a private bill on Kapu reservation in the Parliament and asked the state to pass a resolution in the Assembly annulling it, in order to make some changes in it to suit the interests of the Kapu community to provide reservation in education and employment and send it for the Governor’s consent in order to make it a law.

Padmanabham congratulated KCR on being voted back to power for the second consecutive term. He welcomed Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) to contest polls in Andhra Pradesh.

He welcomed Chief Minister of Telangana, K. Chandrasekhar Rao’s move towards the community, and added that there is a need to enhance the quota of BC reservation by five more per cent, making it 10 per cent. He also demanded for setting up a special corporation to safeguard the interests of the BC's.

The Kapu leader slammed CM N. Chandrababu Naidu for campaigning in Telangana and being a part of People’s Front and claimed that loss of the front was due to Chandrababu. “The people of Telangana taught a befitting lesson to Naidu,” he said.

“I am praying to God to save the state from Naidu, by ensuring his defeat in the upcoming Assembly polls,” he added.
