New Delhi: Ahead of the winter session of the Parliament's commencement Tuesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi convened an all-party meet here. He urged all the parties to co-operate in creating constructive environment to discuss on issues.

In the meeting, Rajya Sabha member and senior YSRCP leader Vijayasai Reddy demanded Special Category Status (SCS) to Andhra Pradesh in the last winter session before the general elections. Addressing media after the all-party meet, Vijayasai Reddy said he put out the demands for SCS, a fair trial in the murderous attack on YSRCP chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, assistance to Northern AP in Titli affected areas and the provisions mentioned in the AP Bifurcation Act, 2014.

The YSRCP MP said issues like Centre's assistance to the 11 drought-affected districts in AP and the election reforms were raised in the meeting. "We have asked the Centre to take action in AP government's amendments to the land acquisition Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013. The State government allowed acquisition of cultivable land. We also raised the issue of the TDP government's blockage of CBI, ED and the IT departments into Andhra Pradesh's affairs," he added.

Vijayasai further said the pending issues like note for vote case and defection of MLAs were also mentioned in the meeting. Asked about the opposition meeting called by Chandrababu, the MP said the YSRCP was not invited to the meeting.

"We do not change our stance like Chandrababu does. After being in power for four years, Chandrababu is claiming to be in the Opposition. We will always stand by the people," he said.
