Delhi HC Asks Sujana Chowdary To Appear Before ED

Delhi:The Delhi High Court today asked the TDP Rajya Sabha MP Sujana Chowdary to appear before the Enforcement Directorate on December 3 for questioning on the recent raids conducted by Enforcement Directorate and Income- Tax authorities

Chowdary approached the Delhi High court to quash the summons by ED over the alleged money laundering and financial irregularities with regard to companies he is associated with . ED has conducted raids at his offices in Hyderabad, Delhi and seized six expensive cars from Sujana Chowdary, in connection with an alleged 5700 Cr bank fraud case involving the TDP MP.

The Delhi Court which now ordered Chowdary to appear for questioning has barred the ED from taking any major decision and has ordered the officials to conduct regular questioning.

Sujana Chowdary, who served as Minister of State in Modi's cabinet, called the raids against him as 'political vendetta' and said "companies that I am mentioning have sought loans from the banks by following all the regulations and it's not defrauding."
