Vijayawada: BJP Rajya Sabha MP and national spokesman GVL Narsimha Rao lodged a complaint with the Ethics Committee seeking the disqualification of his fellow MPs in the Upper House from the TDP, Sujana Chowdary and CM Ramesh. Incidentally, both these MPs are believed to be extremely close to AP chief minister, Nara Chandrababu Naidu. Addressing the media here on Thursday, GVL pointed out that it was ironic that a member of Ethics Committee, Sujana Chowdary, himself was under investigation by the law enforcement agencies.

The senior BJP leader commented that people were aghast at the scale of corruption of the TDP MPs. It was shameful to see chief minister Chandrababu Naidu defending these corrupt parliamentarians. It is evident that Chandrababu is trying to protect his proxies and benamis.

GVL alleged that Chandrababu did not have any credibility. He added that people were aware of the fact that TDP was a party of thieves.

The BJP MP described Chandrababu and TDP leaders as Ali Baba and 40 thieves. When they loot hundreds of thousands of rupees from the treasury, shouldn't they be called to account, he questioned?

GVL predicted that the Mahakutami was bound to lose in the Telangana polls on December 7. He recalled that NTR had founded the TDP as a political party opposed to the ideology of the Congress. It was ironic that Chandrababu Naidu fell at the feet of Rahul Gandhi and mortgaged the party.
