Amaravati: Actor turned Politican and Jana Sena Chief Pawan Kalyan flayed Andhra Pradesh CM chandrababu over illicit mining which is taking place in Vathanda reserved forest in East Godavari District. He said, Chandrababu and the entire TDP government is aware of it and no one has dared to take any action against it. The revenue generated through the mining is three thousand crores per annum. Whose pockets are being lined, he asked, pointedly. He further added, is this mining activity going on without the involvement of Chandrababu Naidu or is only Nara Lokesh aware of it?

Pawan said that the illegal mining in Vathanda is done by a private entity, and that the state exchequer was not deriving any benefit. No amount is being credited to the state treasury, he asserted. Pipelines supplying water to the tribals are denied permission by the forest officials. But mining is being allowed in the reserve forest and tracks for facilitating transportation have also been constructed here. The government is welcoming mining companies with a red carpet he said. If Jana Sena comes to power then we shall stop all the mining activities happening in tribal lands, he declared.

Leaders from SC,ST,BC communities from Telangana are seeking Jana Sena support he said. Over the next two days, Jana Sena will come up with a decision about Telangana. Jana sena wanted to contest in Telangana in 23 assembly constituencies and Malkajgiri, Khammam, Mahabubnagar parliamentary seats, if the elections were to be held along with general elections. But with the elections pre-poned, we had to drop the plan said, Pawan.

Ex Minister Balaraju joined Jana Sena after leaving Congress over the alliance with archrival TDP. Balaraju who joined the party spoke to the media and said, "I wanted to be a part of the change which Pawan is aspiring for". Others attending the event were Nadendla Manohar and North Andhra coordinators of the party.
