Hyderabad: The TDP alliance with Congress has caused a huge uproar in the Congress party. Joining hands with TDP whom they have criticized all this while is something hard to digest for Congress leaders. On earlier occasion, TDP leader had referred to Sonia Gandhi as Godse and a mafia from Italy. Interestingly, the two parties which had been arch rivals for years have now come together to stand united and topple the BJP. The buzz in political party circles is that it is the fear of losing in the elections that has led to this alliance between the two parties.

Opposing this alliance, senior Congress party leaders are leaving the party. Ex Minister and senior Congress leader Vatti Vasanth Kumar has announced his resignation. "We have fought against corruption done by Chandrababu in the past four and half years now they want me work with the same leader, which I cannot, that is the reason behind my resignation.," he said.

Another senior leader and Ex Minister C Ramachandraiah has also left the Congress.

Nadendla Manohar Ex speaker of AP assembly joined Jana Sena party recently. It has been said that he left the party after he got feelers about this unholy alliance waiting to happen. For decades we have fought against the TDP, all of a sudden joining hands with them is equal to committing suicide say the Congress leaders.

Reacting to senior leaders leaving the party, PCC president N. Raghuveera Reddy has called on leaders not to act in haste, Congress has a bright future. Difference of opinion is a common thing. Decision on alliances wholly lies in the hands of Rahul Gandhi and we had to abide by it, he said.
