Janasena party chief and Powerstar Pawan Kalyan who forayed into politics few years back has created his first social media account with Twitter. He has now created a Facebook page where he can gain more followers and fans. A bit late on to the Facebook platfrom, Pawan Kalyan seems to have woken up to its powerful reach all over the world. Yesterday, he announced his Facebook page and by the time this article was being written the powerstar has already had 583K followers and still counting.

Facebook, more than Twitter, has extensive reach with 2.25 billion users added this quarter alone. Twitter is relatively used by fewer people as a popular microblogging site. In the days and weeks to come, how Pawan Kalyan's message will get transmitted across Facebook needs to be same. After uploading his profile picture, he posted an invitation "Hello everyone, I invite you to interact with me on a train journey from Vijayawada to Tuni on November 2nd." The journey starts from 1:10 PM which connects the major railway stations of Nuzividu, Eluru, Tadepalligudem, Rajahmundry, Samarlakota, Annavaram and ends by 5:20 PM at Tuni district. The underlying significance of Tuni needs to be emphasised here in view of the fact that it was here that a violent mob of a protestors demandiong reservation for the Kapu community set fire to Ratnachal express during its halt at the station on January 31, 2016. The agitators had responded to a call given by the Kapu strong man Mudragada Padmanabham.
