Rajahmundry:An anchor, who became an actor by sheer luck, actor Sivaji is back in the news. Not to be confused with the other Sivajis in Tollywood, the actor's film career started declining after 2012, barring a few blink and miss films and a forgettable role in a web series. He joined the BJP in 2014 and has been vocal about various issues including Special Category Status for AP, Mahbubnagar bus accident, his fast for a separate state and his controversial comments against Pawan Kalyan.

Sivaji is known to be close to the head of a popular TV channel which survives on tacky content for its TRP. It had posted negative stories about the leader of the opposition, YSRCP Chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy sometime ago for which it received much flak. Sivaji is also known for his proximity with senior honchos of other channels close to the AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu which also promote him. Time and again he posts videos about certain issues in these channels to stay in the news. Whether he supports the BJP, TDP or Jana Sena is not clear but these videos are seen as his desperate attempt to stay in the limelight.

A controversial video posted in March 2018 about a certain 'Operation Garuda' and 'Operation Dravida', in which he alleged that a national party was trying to take control of the south Indian states. He also dubbed its plans as ‘Operation Dravida’ and stated that Rs 4,800 crores were being spent for this purpose. The-20 minute video is viral again after the attack on YSRCP Chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, where a few people are trying to correlate those facts mentioned in the video about an attack on a state leader.

The credibility of this information in the video needs to be examined and when he was asked about the sources he said that he couldn't reveal which is quite amusing. But what is clear is that the video is trending at this point of time only by those channels who seem to entertain the actor's oddball opinions and circulating these rumours further giving him some screen time on the Idiot box.

Speaking to press reporters in Rajamhundry, BJP MLC Somu Veerraju criticised the indifferent way in which Chandrababu Naidu responded to the attack on AP Leader of Opposition, YS Jagan. Further stating that Actor Sivaji's video is creating an unnecessary controversy and is something akin to a movie plot. The TDP government is actually buying this nonsense. It is nothing but a plot by the state government to hurt the YSRCP Chief, using this video created by an out-of work actor to distract attention from the main issue shows how capable the CM is in ruling the state he stated.
