Hyderabad: Official spokesperson of the YSR Congress party (YSRCP) Ambati Rambabu ridiculed Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu's constant bragging in his address at the police commemoration day celebrations. Speaking to media here today, he demanded to know why there was no investigation on the Tuni incident. "Several TDP leaders, including minister and MLAs, were involved in cases of sexual harassment. The State ranks fourth in the country in harassment against women, he added.

Ambati said that the ruling party leaders were in the habit of blaming YSRCP for every issue in the State. "The government did not initiate action against the TDP leaders who had attacked MRO Vanajakshi. Even after the attack on Vijayawada transport commissioner by TDP MP Kesineni Nani and MLA Bonda Uma, the police did not take action," he recalled.

Accusing the government of letting the TDP leaders who were booked in sex racket case go scot free, he said that the police department turned into a yellow department, completely under the thumb of Chandrababu Naidu. In YSRCP leader Narayana Reddy's murder case, the culprits have not been punished yet, he explained.

The YSRCP leader said that Chandrababu was incapable of providing police protection to Income Tax officials. By blaming it on the Opposition parties, the TDP is trying to gain political benefit, he asserted. At least in the remaining six months, the police and Intelligence agencies should focus on maintaining law and order instead of working for the TDP, he urged.
