Hyderabad: Chintakunta Munuswamy Ramesh also known as CM Ramesh, a close ally of Andhra Pradesh chief Minister Chandrababu is under the Income tax department scanner. The IT raids which started yesterday are still underway at his offices, houses and companies connected to him. He tried to put up a brave face yesterday in front of the media describing the tax raids on his offices and houses in both the Telugu states as “vindictive politics” being played by the Centre.

Ramesh claimed that he was being targeted by the Centre because he spoke vocally for justice to the residuary state of Andhra Pradesh. However, TDP leaders, including Ramesh, had no answer to the question posed by YSRCP leaders as to why the ruling party was feeling jittery about raids by Central agencies, if it had nothing to hide.

Ramesh's offices and houses were extensively searched on Friday. There appeared to be a huge difference between the affidavit filed by CM Ramesh for the first time as Rajya Sabha MP and the second term. These discrepancies are being scrutinized by the income tax authorities, it is said.
In the wake of the raids, CM Ramesh’s personal assets went viral on social media. Netizens were astounded to see his residence in Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad. The photos of different rooms in his house—dining table, swimming pool, home theater with the most modern technology went viral on social media.
