Political Tension In Kamareddy Between Shabbir Ali, Gampa Goverdhan

Kamareddy: Commotion erupted at the Gandhi statue inside Kamareddy market yard after former TRS MLA Gampa Goverdhan reached the spot for a to discussion on his assets in a challenge to senior Congress leader Shabbir Ali.

Following open challenges between the two leaders over illegal accumulation of assets, Goverdhan on Wednesday demanded Shabbir Ali to come and hold a discussion on his properties. Demanding Shabbir Ali to join him for a discussion, he read out his assets before speaking about the assets of the Congress leader. Saying that it was not fair to escape in the name of the 30 Acts in force in the district.

Soon after the TRS leader went away from the spot, Shabbir Ali, along with associates, reached there. Speaking on the occasion, he said that his life was an open book. "I have records for every penny I have earned and I had mentioned the same in the election affidavits," he added.

Meanwhile, district SP Shwetha Reddy suggested to the leaders that there was no permission for debates in the district. Recently, Congress working president Revanth Reddy and MLC Shabbir Ali made severe allegations of irregularities in Goverdhan's assets.
