Amaravati: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu was stunned by the questions posed to him by the students at the launch of the 'Mukhyamanthri Yuvanestam' scheme here today. In an interactive meet with the students, Chandrababu, along with IT minister Nara Lokesh attempted to answer the questions. Asked whether the scheme was introduced keeping in mind the upcoming elections, the TDP Chief said he was delivering on his promises. "Are you providing the assistance to students to gain votes in the elections? Will you cancel the scheme after the elections?" asked a student. Raising the issue on allocation of jobs in Sri City to non-locals, another student asked Chandrababu whether he was taking measures to ensure the locals are given preference in jobs.

Asking Chandrababu why he was encouraging education in private institutions, a student said there was a danger of the public educational institutions getting closed. "You have become the Chief Minister after graduating from a public university. Why are you not batting for the government institutions?" he asked. Chandrababu replied he was providing an opportunity for the private institutions to make way for expansion of knowledge among students.

Chandrababu evaded a question on whether the Special Category Status was important or the special package was preferrable. When a student asked for the appointment of Physical Education Trainers in Urdu medium schools, the CM said there were not enough funds to afford the trainers.
