Vijayawada: Official Spokesperson of the YSR Congress party (YSRCP), TJR Sudhakar Babu today criticized Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu for his comments over the Demonetisation exercise. Speaking at a press conference here at the party office, he questioned Chandrababu over his claims of proposing the idea of Demonetising the Rs 2,000 and Rs 500 notes. "Does Chandrababu remember his claim of giving the idea of Demonetisation to Prime Minister Narendra Modi?" he questioned.

TJR said that Chandrababu Naidu, who headed the sub-committee to address the demonetization issue, was now finding fault with it after breaking the alliance with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). "Chandrababu is accusing the Centre of burdening the public with high petrol and diesel prices. Would people trust Chandrababu if he blames the BJP after befriending the national party for four years?" he asked.

On the other side, Minister Nara Lokesh is involved in rampant corruption and collecting commisions, he said. Chandrababu promised to reduce the fuel prices if the Centre increased them but, he has failed to keep his promise, he added.

The YSRCP leader demanded an explanation for the Telangana government's silence on Chandrababu's Note for Vote case.
