Visakhapatnam: Brushing aside the news that Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and Congress would form an alliance for the upcoming elections in 2019, TDP minister Ayyanna Patrudu said people will completely reject TDP if it forges an alliance with the Congress. Talking to media here today, he stated that TDP was formed by NTR to stop the atrocities of Congress party, and now if TDP thinks of an alliance with that party, they will have to face severe consequences.

Ayyanna Patrudu once again reminded the media that TDP was born from anti-Congress sentiment. NTR waved the TDP flag to drive away Congress party from the state. "With such history of our party, it would be a death-knell for TDP if it joins hands with Congress. People will not accept it and will outright reject TDP in the next elections," he said.

The TDP minister also hoped that Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu would not dare commit such a blunder. Despite all these, if Chandrababu insists on alliance with Congress, it would be the biggest mistake in his entire political career, he added. He once again clarified that TDP-Congress alliance was impossible. Should it happen at all, I would be the first person to oppose the move by TDP, he added.
