Tirupati: Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leader Nallari Kishore Kumar Reddy gave rise to a new political debate in Pileru constituency of Chittoor district, by publicly announcing that he would not hesitate to contest against his elder brother senior Congress leader, former Chief Minister Nallari Kiran Kumar Reddy in the upcoming elections. Speaking to media here on Monday, the TDP leader made the shocking statement, to the disbelief of his own supporters, who were under the impression that their leader would go back to the Congress to support his brother before the elections. "Irrespective of the contestants from other parties, I will fight from Pileru on TDP ticket," he confirmed.

Kishore Kumar Reddy's supporters, however, defended their leader's statement by saying that it was Kishore who had taken the responsibility of the constituency when Kiran Kumar Reddy served as the last Chief Minister of erstwhile Andhra Pradesh. "It was Kishore Kumar Reddy who had carried out various developmental works in the constituency," said a supporter.

On the other side, Kiran Kumar Reddy's supporters have alleged that after joining the TDP, Kishor was following the footsteps of Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu, who had backstabbed his father-in-law, late Chief Minister Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao (NTR).

Kiran Kumar's group of supporters have, however, warned of exposing the TDP leader's corrupt practices in the near future.
