Vijayawada: YSR Congress Party leader Parthasarathy said that the TDP leaders had no moral standing to talk about Polavaram project. YSRCP will complete the project as soon as it comes to power and will dedicate it to the nation. Speaking at a press conference, he said it was former Chief Minister Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy who had laid the foundation for Polavaram.

Parathasarathy expressed his anger over TDP leaders for criticisting Dr YSR and said it was unfortunate that minister Devineni Uma was making irrelevant statements on Polavaram. Without any basic political sense, the minister is passing comments on the CM, he said.

He further said that Devineni Uma was trying to cover up TDP's failure by criticising Leader of Opposition in AP assembly and YSRCP President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. He said that none of the TDP leaders had any right to speak about Polavaram, it was only Dr YSR family which had the right to talk about the project. Let Devineni Uma come up with proofs for his allegations, he challenged.

The YSRCP leader said that both the BJP and TDP were playing tricks and cheating people with respect to projects. He asked Devineni Uma to stop useless talk and start working for the welfare of farmers in the state. He reminded the ministers there were many drought-stricken regions in the state which needed attention.

Parthasarathy said that he would quit politics if the TDP government completed the Polavaram project by 2019.
