Protests In Support Of YSRCP Bandh Call

Amaravati: The fight for Special Category Status (SCS) to Andhra Pradesh has intensified. YSR Congress Party has called for a state-wide bandh tomorrow in protest against the deception by TDP and BJP to the state. To create awareness about the bandh, the YSRCP cadre held dharnas, rastha roko and rallies in various districts today.

Kadapa district

The YSRCP workers and supporters held a novel protest near Ambedkar statue in Kadapa. In protest against the BJP and TDP, the YSRCP supporters raised slogans saying, SCS is AP's right. YSRCP Kadapa city president Puli Suneel Kumar and the party's Youth Wing president Devireddi Aditya were among many who participated in the programme.

Vizianagaram district

In Parvatipuram, a rally was held to inform the people of tomorrow's bandh and to request people to participate in large numbers and make it a success. The bike rally from the party office to old bus stand was led by Parvatipuram constituency coordinator Joga Rao. Araku Parliamentary constituency president Parikshith Raju also participated in the bike rally.

Visakhapatnam district

YSRCP North Andhra Convenor KK Raju led a bike rally in support of tomorrow's bandh from Tatichettupalem to Maddipalem party office. Later KK Raju said that people were frustrated with TDP government and were ready to make the bandh a big success.

Similarly, a bike rally was held in Anakapally in the presence of YSRCP leader Gudiwada Amarnath supporting tomorrow's bandh call. Dantuluri Dileep Kumar, Mandapati Janakirama Raju, Suribabu and Muralikrishna Ramana were among many leaders who took part in the bike rally.

Anantapur district

A massive bike rally was held in Anantapur today led by former MP Anantavenkatarami Reddy. MLC Vennapusa Gopal Reddy, state general secretary Rage Parasuram, youth wing president Aluru Sambasiva Reddy participated in the programme. Similar programme was also held in Rayadurgam led by former MLA Kapu Ramachandra Reddy.

Chittoor district

In support of tomorrow's bandh a bike rally with 3000 people was held from SV University to Nalugu Kalla Mantapam in Tirupati. The bike rally was held under the leadership of Tirupati YSRCP youth wing president Bhumana Abhinay Reddy.

Nellore district

Udayagiri former MLA Mekapati Chandrashekar Reddy called on the people to make tomorrow's bandh a success and said tomorrow’s shutdown was in protest against the TDP and BJP which had deceived the people of the state.

Krishna district

YSRCP Vijayawada Parliamentary constituency president Samineni Udaybhanu led a protest meeting at Municipal Centre in Jagayyapet. He called upon all the people to participate in large numbers and make the bandh a big success.
